Designed to be a research lab for both dancers and teaching artists, New Dialect aims to create an environment where gifted teachers are encouraged to explore and refine what they teach, and each dancer is actively engaged in the process of identifying with clarity and confidence his or her own movement signature.

Contemporary Cross-Training Mission:
It is New Dialect’s goal to host and present high-level local, national, and international teaching artists on an ongoing basis. By further informing our community of the wide variety of movement vocabularies existing in the world of 21st century dance, we aspire to contribute to the bright future of contemporary dance in Nashville: training teachers, dancers, and choreographers to interpret and make work that is well-researched and inspiring.
