Inspired by Banning Bouldin's contemporary technique class and William Forsythe's Improvisation Technologies, this advanced contemporary dance class is designed to build a healthy balance of strength and flexibility in the lower body, while increasing overall stability and exploring a full range of motion in the upper body.
Technique exercises and phrase work are accompanied by improvisation tasks designed to stimulate our imaginations and open new movement possibilities through prompts using line, form, texture, and color.
We accept cash, credit, or check made payable to New Dialect. Prepay online for the entire week or pay at the door.
There is no pre-regristration required for class. Doors open at 9am. Class ends at 11. Please be sure to arrive with enough time to sign in and warm up before class begins.
