MONDAYS & WEDNESDAYS
OCTOBER 10, 12
NOVEMBER 21, 23, 28, 30
DECEMBER 5, 7
In this week of classes, Carrie Gerow will guide dancers in an exploration of the classical Limon concepts of fall and recovery, suspension, rebound, and gesture, both within the traditional, historical Limon vocabulary and as dynamic principles injected into newer movement techniques.
Prepay online for the entire week or pay at the door. We accept cash, credit, or check made payable to New Dialect.
There is no pre-regristration required for class. Doors open at 9am. Class ends at 11. Please be sure to arrive with enough time to sign in and warm up before class begins.
“I want to present the most valid and historically accurate information I can, while also sharing something created “now” that is Limon inspired. I’d like to suggest that we can both honor and preserve the past and also depart from it on our own path, made the better by its inclusion...a sort of nod that it is neither dead and boring, nor so sacred that we can’t play with it, and change it- that we earn the right to mess with it by studying it with respectful integrity. We make it grow in scope and uniqueness with every generational addition to the research and work.”
