Open-Level Contemporary Dance Technique- Following the training syllabus designed by Banning Bouldin along with improvisation tasks based on Forsythe's Improvisation Technologies, this contemporary dance class is designed to establish a healthy sense of basic body alignment and to build strength and coordination. Dancers will learn/reinforce specific and efficient movement pathways and explore their own full range of motion with improvisation tasks.
Improvisation Games- The exercises and improvisation tasks from technique class will serve as a launching pad for imaginative play and creative partnering. Through dance theatre games and directed improvisation, dancers will build physical and spacial awareness, and trust and communication when working together.
