Please stay tuned for news about our next Creative Movement Series.
Our Creative Movement classes are a first step to building enthusiastic, creative dancers through structured games and improvisation, as well as introducing basic technique and encouraging young dancers to explore their own individual movements. Students will learn cognitive and motor skills, as well as classroom etiquette, helping to facilitate the growth of the their inspiration to dance, move, and be creative. No experience required.
Emma began her dance training at the Franklin School of Performing Arts. Over the years, she has trained with, and was awarded scholarships to BalletMET in Columbus, Ohio, and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston Salem, North Carolina. In June and July of 2013, she participated in the American Dance Festival's 80th anniversary season, where she trained with teachers and choreographers such as Pamela Pietro, Jesse Zarritt, and Michelle Gibson. She was one of 16 dancers chosen to perform in an original work Treefrog in Stonehenge set by Twyla Tharp for the anniversary. After returning to Nashville, Emma began training with New Dialect's artistic director, Banning Bouldin.
She joined New Dialect in August 2013.
