Elise is originally from Nashville and began her love for dancing in her family's performing arts school, Charles Harding School of Creative Arts, where she also studied competitive gymnastics for 9 years. In 2009, she was awarded a scholarship to Vanderbilt University’s dance certification program from which she graduated in 2010.

From 2011-2012 she studied contemporary dance technique and improvisation privately with Banning Bouldin. She then moved to New York City to continue her contemporary dance education, studying “gaga” the movement language created by Ohad Naharin, and taking classes with such choreographers as Shannon Gillen of Shannon Gillen and Guests, Sidra Bell, Zvi Gothenier, and Gregory Dolbashian of Dash, to name a few.

Elise is thrilled to be working with Banning and the New Dialect family.
