Joy returns to Nashville to teach two weeks of Countertechnique morning classes and to research the development of a new work with our dancers.
We'll present a studio showing of Joy's work in progress at Centennial Performing Arts Studios on Friday, May, 20 from 2:30-3:30pm.

JOY DAVIS is a performing artist and teacher. Originally from Nashville, Joy has spent the last fifteen years between her beloved Tennessee, Chicago, Amsterdam, and New England creating, performing, and studying contemporary dance and improvisation.
For the last eleven years, Joy has studied Countertechnique with its originator, Arouk van Dijk, current Artistic Director of Chunk Move in Australia. In 2012, Joy was certified to teach Countertechnique and is one of four American instructors teaching classes and workshops all over the United States.
Joy received an MFA in Choreography and Performance from the Smith College Department of Dance in Northampton, MA.
