At this summer's intensive, dancers ages 17-30 will have the opportunity to study a variety of relevant dance concepts, vocabularies, and techniques with our knowledgable and internationally experienced faculty.
Classes will include Somatic Practices (such as Alexander Technique and Laban Movement Fundamentals), Ballet for Contemporary Dancers, Limon Technique, Countertechnique, Floor/Falling/Sliding, Contact Improvisation, Improvisation Tools, and daily New Dialect Repertory workshops led by artistic director Banning Bouldin.
New Dialect strives to create an environment from which developing dancers emerge with a greater capacity to intuitively interpret a broad range of choreographic voices.

The deadline for application submission is April 20, 2015. Approximately 30 dancers will be offered admission to the program. Advanced dancers of all backgrounds, ages 17-30, are encouraged to apply. All applicants will receive email notification of their admission status no later than May 1, 2015.
Tuition for the New Dialect Summer Intensive is $400. New Dialect does not provide housing, meals, or transportation. Please inquire for a list of housing and travel options.
