Internationally acclaimed dancer and master teacher, Ana-Maria Lucaciu, returns to Nashville for New Dialect's first Choreographer's LAB.
Ana-Maria has now been here in Nashville for three weeks, and her firm and friendly presence as a teacher has been wonderful for the development of our master class students and for our company dancers.
Now that her class series has wrapped up, she is now working with Banning to fine tune the duet they're creating for our August 21st performance at OZ Nashville. The title of the duet is Emin Variations and its original score was composed by Lev "Ljova" Zhurbin, who will be here with us to perform the composition live on stage at OZ.
Now that we're halfway through our first Choreographer's LAB we can only say we don't want it to end and we can't wait for the next LAB to begin.
Ana Maria Lucaciu has danced with internationally renowned companies Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet, the National Ballet of Canada, the Royal Danish Ballet, and Companhia Portuguesa de Bailado Contemporâneo. She is currently the rehearsal assistant to both Andrea Miller of Gallim and Alexander Ekman, resident choreographer with Netherlands Dans Theater.
