New Dialect’s 4th annual Winter Intensive. For the first time, we’re conducting a two-week Winter Intensive. The first week will be led by Joy Davis, choreographer and certified Countertechnique instructor. The second week will be led by Sidra Bell, choreographer, educator, and founder of Sidra Bell Dance NYC. Dancers can register for either one and/or both weeks.
Nashville Design Week - an event to celebrate the city’s creative design community. Hastings Architecture—employer of Board member Erin Asa and sponsor of New Dialect—is a major sponsor of Nashville Design Week: November 8 - 15, 2018.
To celebrate the event, New Dialect is teaming up with WILDER and a number of designers/artists for a visual art exhibition in Germantown. Artifacts from our guncotton project with Greg Pond will be on display.
New Dialect will perform an excerpt from Banning’s latest work, The Triangle, at the Nashville Fashion Alliance’s annual fundraiser. Benefit: we introduce ourselves to a community of designers who might be willing to collaborate on future costume projects. Costs (dancers fees) covered by small performance fee charged to NFA.
The Triangle will premiere at OZ Arts on Feb 22-24, 2019. TICKETS HERE
Greg Pond and Banning Bouldin took home a $5,000 grant at Art Prize's Pitch Night Nashville event in May 2018. Their exhibition Guncotton, which explores the connection between dance and architecture, will be displayed on Western Michigan University (WMU) during ArtPrize 10 from Sept 17 - Oct 7.
